Sometimes you may need to send an email to someone but would also like that email sent to another person at the same time. The catch is you may not wish for the original recipient to know that you have also sent the email to another person. A general use scenario for would be when sending out email newsletters and you don’t wish for everyone to have access to everyone else’s email address. If this is the case you can use Blind Carbon Copy or Bcc for short.
Photostory dowload. In order to add and send an email to additional people without the intended recipient being able to see who the email was sent to simply enter all email addresses into the Bcc area in the new message window as highlighted below:
Upon entering email addresses the window will look like this:
As you can see the original recipient is “Everyday Mac Support” whilst I also want to send this email to “Mark Greentree” but I don’t want Everyday Mac Support knowing that I have sent the email also to Mark Greentree.
When Everyday Mac Support receives the email it will be presented like this:
If I had chosen to use the Cc (Carbon copy) the email being received would look like this:
Xcom 2 tactical vs strategy. As you will note Cc email recipients will be presented to the original recipient whilst Bcc will be hidden from the original recipient.
If you never intend on using the Bcc address field you can always deactivate it. Simply press Option + Command + B on your keyboard or navigate to View > Bcc Address Field from the Menu Bar. Simply click to tick or un-tick which will then either show or remove the option accordingly.

Please note these above commands can only be accessed whilst you are in the new, reply, reply all or forward message windows.
