About Me
What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?

When I'm not driving my Monster Jam truck, I'm repairing it and getting it in tip top shape for the next show.
Who are your role models?
My parents as well as all the female Monster Jam athletes that continue to show people that girls can do it, too!
Do you have any ‘pre-show’ rituals you run through?
Right after I strap in before every show, I pray for safety of the drivers and crew.
What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
I was actually home schooled from 5th through 12th grade.
What is your most prized possession?
My family and friends because they can never be replaced

And yes, the majority of monster truck drivers are male, as are the fans, but there is a small, and growing, cohort of women breaking into the monster truck boys' club. Jun 12, 2019  Raised in Mirabel, Quebec, Cynthia Gauthier’s first experience with driving was a tractor on the farm. Fast-forward and Gauthier became Canada’s first female Monster Jam driver. Ami Houde was a driver out of Winnipeg, Manitoba who formerly drove Zombie.She started competing in the Monster Jam Triple Threat Series (2017) Central Coast Tour. She once again drove Zombie in 2018, on the Triple Threat Series East Tour.In 2019 she once again drove Zombie on the 2019 Triple threat central tour, however, at mid point she retired from driving after an injury.

What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?

The best part is being able to experience all the different cities and states we go to. They are all so unique!
While on the road, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Definitely exploring the city we are in but shopping sprees and going to the movies are fun, too
What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
My backpack; I carry all my most important stuff in there.

Career
How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
I started making my way into the sport by going to as many shows as possible and volunteering with many different teams. I met J.R. McNeal with Razin' Kane Monster Trucks, and he invited me to come test in one of his Monster Jam trucks. After that awesome experience, I came to a couple shows the team was a part of and helped out. JR hired me to be a full-time member of the team, and I have been loving it ever since!
What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
I love the high impact thrill that Monster Jam delivers. It is such an adrenaline rush that I am so thankful I get to share with every Monster Jam fan.
How would you describe your driving style?
Smart yet crazy!
>What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
Never give up and most importantly never lose hope. With hard work and determination, you can do anything you can dream of.
What is your greatest memory as a Monster Jam driver?
Probably my first ever event win. It gave me a lot of extra confidence going into future shows.
Who in Monster Jam do you look up to for inspiration?
All of the amazing women of Monster Jam that kick butt and look good doing it!

What are some of your interests/hobbies/favorite pastimes?
Krysten Anderson
: When I’m not hanging out with my family, I’m at the beach with my friends or in my hobby shop drawing or painting.

Who are your role models?
Krysten Anderson
: My biggest role models would have to be my parents. They are both extremely hard working, supportive, respectable and they have raised me right.

Do you have any ‘pre-show’ rituals you run through?
Krysten Anderson
: Call Dad! When I have any questions, I look to my dad. He gives some of the best advice. After I get off the phone with him, I walk the track, scope out the obstacles, strap into my seat, clear my head and have quite time.

What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you?
Krysten Anderson
: I was planning on going to college to study studio art and graphic design. My plan was to pursue a career in Monster Jam as a graphic designer for the Monster Jam trucks!

What is your favorite memory on or off the race track?
Krysten Anderson
: When I received my Grave Digger jersey with MY name on it.

What is your most prized possession?
Krysten Anderson
: My bag full of make up.

What is the best and worst thing about being on the road every weekend with Monster Jam?
Krysten Anderson
: The best thing about being on the road would be meeting new fans and seeing old ones every weekend. I get to be with my fellow athletes and new friends too. The worst part is being away from home.

While on the road, what is your favorite thing to do during your free time?
Krysten Anderson
: Hang out with the team on my tour.

How do you keep fit?
Krysten Anderson
: My fellow athletes keep me motivated on the road by going to the gym with me. While I’m home I go to the gym in town.

What item(s) can you not live without while traveling on the road with Monster Jam?
Krysten Anderson
: My phone to stay in contact with home and my make up bag because I’m a lady!

How did you get started competing in Monster Jam?
Krysten Anderson
: Monster Jam is all I know. I was born into the sport through my dad. An opportunity opened up for me to drive in 2017 and I took it!

What is your favorite part about competing in Monster Jam?
Krysten Anderson
Keyboard and touchpad for mac. : Getting to carry on my family’s legacy.

How would you describe your driving style?
Krysten Anderson
: Im an Anderson… you never know what you’re going to see!

What advice would you give to kids who want to become a Monster Jam driver?
Krysten Anderson
: No dream is too big. Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t do something because of your gender, age, race, etc., because you can! Work hard, stay focused and follow your heart… it will take you far.

Who in Monster Jam do you look up to for inspiration?
Krysten Anderson
: My dad and brothers, of course.

Do you have any nicknames?
Krysten Anderson
: My friends and family call me “Krustacean.” When my oldest nephew Wade Anderson was learning how to say my name, he called be “Aunt Krustacean.” His favorite toy for a while was the Crushstation Hot Wheels truck. He knew the name of every Monster Jam truck and every drive by the time he was two so when it came time to say “Aunt Krysten” it came out, “Aunt Krustacean.” It was so funny so we put a ‘K’ on it and it just stuck.

: That’s tough… I love comedies.

: Seafood. My dad makes a mean Carolina shrimp boil.

: They would say that I am kind, super funny, down-to-earth, creative and slightly competitive.
